When they split up in 2017, Doublelift went on to win 4 championships in a row, while Bjergsen could not win a single one. They won 2 championships together from 2016-2017. Bjergsen has only made it to worlds quarterfinals. He has 8 LCS championships, compared to Bjergsen's 6. I am actually a Bjergsen fan, and always want his teams to win, but from 2018-2021, Doublelift clearly won the goat case. Doublelift should clearly be above Bjergsen. I strongly disagree on the recent LCS top ten all time players list number 1 ranking. Really wish both teams could have gone to worlds. Super happy for the EG group, but super sad for all of the TL players.
#LEAGUE OF LEGENDS REDDIT SERIES#
I just finished the correct VoD and am quite devastated for the whole TL team! I honestly love both teams and wasn't sure who I wanted to win, but I think I started to pull for TL more as the series went on. It took a good 15 minutes to realize I had watched the completely incorrect game 5 VoD. I was googling if there was a scandal, if the rights to the spot were stripped from TL or what happened.

Sure CoreJJ in his postgame interview with Hai mentioning how he was excited to be locked into going to Houston instead of Chicago should have stood out to me, but to be fair, I was semi multitasking while watching these VoDs.Īnyway, earlier today I googled the NA playoff bracket just to for a refresher of all the best of 5s and to my complete confusion, I saw EG in the lower bracket finals against 100 Thieves next week. Yes, mentions of Bjergsen's notebook and how it was "reminiscent of LemonNation" were vaguely familiar but not enough to throw me off. All other champs, with the exception of Ryze, seemed plausible and are played now. Yes, I thought the Renekton + Nidalee picks by Impact and Inspired were strange, but so did the casters! They called it a "throwback" in champ select. Same exact rosters, same exact casters (shout out to how amazing CaptainFlowers, Azael and Kobe are together!) I wasn't noticing any red flags. Yep, I watched the entire game 5 between EG and TL of the SPRING playoffs earlier this year and had absolutely no idea until today. You can probably see where this is going. I saw "TL" & "EG" & "Game 5." Good enough for me! So I just let it roll. This series, we were once again treated with an amazing 5 game banger! Once game 4 ended, I no longer feared spoilers through the youtube "next up" video pop ups, so I looked at them.

So I close out the video, go back to EventVods, then click on game 2. Once game 1 is over, I typically avoid looking at all of the "next up" videos that pop up, because one might say "TL vs EG Game 5!" which would spoil things. does a great job compartmentalizing them spoiler free. Once it gets into game 1's champ select, I exit and swap to the Youtube VOD of game 1. (If a series looks like it only went 3 games based on the length, then I'd know the winner of the first game likely won the series.)Īnyway, my typical method is to start with the Twitch VOD to watch the pre match show.
#LEAGUE OF LEGENDS REDDIT FULL#
When I launch the full best of 5 Twitch VOD to view the pre match show, I block the bar at the bottom to completely block the the length of the video to avoid learning how many games the series likely went. While I'm behind, I unsubscribe from this subreddit I unsubscribe from other social media where I follow LoL content. (I still haven't even started EU playoffs yet, so no spoilers please!) As such, I watch all the matches on VODs over at. So I don't like to miss any of the NA or EU League action, but I definitely don't have time to watch all of the games live on stream.
